After many trials and tribulations, I’m stoked to announce that Dagan Reid Thogerson will be joining Orbit 17 on the drums!

Dagan is a touring and session drummer based here in Portland. He began his drumming life in the Indiana DIY punk circuit in the early 2000’s. In 2007 he joined the indie-rock band Murder by Death and has been on the road and making records full time since. His other projects include Billy Liar and the Haunted Hearts, and now Orbit 17.

It's quiet... too quiet...

But don’t mistake silence for inaction, we’ve been crazy busy settling in to our new home in Portland. We’ve made lots of new friends already as we’ve been hard at work rebuilding Orbit PDX! We hope to start making some official announcements within the next few weeks so stay tuned!

In addition to that, did you know we have a whole LP release coming up? What!? Way to bury the lede Jamie!!

We’re calling it Betrayer and have just nailed down an official release date, May 22nd. Mark your calendars! This one has been a long time coming as the Portland relocation has forced us to rearrange some plans but now that we’re settling in, it’s time to buckle down!

Anyway, we’re still alive and kicking and will have lots more news to announce soon!
